I’ve had a varied career and worked across a range of roles from commercial industries to public services. I know first-hand the challenges that people face in their careers and organisations when it comes to personal and business development, at times I’ve faced them myself.

Whether that be hurdles in the systems and processes of organisations or the need to pro-actively manage colleague relationships and personal development plans as an individual or part of an organisation, I love being able to mix the different parts of my experience into a process of diagnosis of what needs to change and delivery of our agreed aims. 

I’m incredibly passionate about what I do. For me consultancy can’t be something that lives in a checklist; it’s about people and helping them achieve all they want to.  There is no greater feeling than knowing I’m empowering someone to become the writer rather the narrator of their own story.  After all organisations are groups of people coming together for a shared purpose or goal.

Drawing on experience in the aviation, human health and animal pharmaceutical worlds, I’ve had many experiences that have shaped my consulting philosophy, one that, at its core is about understanding the challenges of my clients and delivering the outcomes they need based on their specific challenges. As someone with an infinite curiosity about people I enjoy the discovery process as much as the outcomes, which we deliver together by creating easy to follow plans that are supported by personal engagement with those I’m working with.

Through my years of experience, I’ve come to understand that empowering people to succeed requires a system that covers change, strategy & planning, team building and developing a nurturing environment for peers and staff to be fully engaged in both the organisation and their own personal growth.  Change can be difficult, yet by offering consultancy built around the change mindset, I offer people the ability to explore their goals in a free and open discussion before leading them on to task and target orientated coaching of individuals or the teams they manage within their businesses. 

Motivation for developing a new mindset comes from a different place for each of us and by examining the roles of adaptability, stress, resilience and purpose my clients are able to develop the outlook that empowers them to actively manage themselves and those around them in the approach that best suits them. Each consultation plan is developed with maximum input from you, and tailored to the needs we identify in the discovery process at the start of each collaboration. My experience in multiple industries has taught me that each situation is different and therefore needs a personalised approach.

For individuals I offer the opportunity to explore where you want to be and how to get there by helping you to create the space to see yourself outside of the continuing pressures of daily life, then providing continuous feedback and support as you progress through the stages of your life plan. For businesses and managers, I offer the opportunity to explore both your individual needs and the wider organisational requirements, including how to deal with both the positive and more challenging aspects of being a leader.  That may be further development, building growth strategies, bringing teams with you on the journey or dealing with the imposter experience, which we all can feel on occasions.
